October 4 through Nov. 22
Exhibition Reception:
November 1, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm

This fall the Anderson Center presents Wild and Untethered, a solo exhibition by local photographer Deb Lee Carson. Wild and Untethered will feature brand-new work by Carson, an award-winning photographer whose work has been exhibited across the United States.
Since 2012, Carson has photographed America’s wild horses, which are protected under the Wild Horse and Burro Act of 1971. Her images advocate for the horses by telling a story, inviting conversation, and touching viewers on a deeper level. Carson’s newest body of work represents her most ambitious geographical reach to date. She says, “Over the past four years I have been photographing wild horses through the regions where they are free roaming. I hope to spark dialogue about the shrinking wild lands in America and about wild horses.”

This activity is made possible through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council in cooperation with a private foundation.
